Ängelholm December 31 2007

With just a few hours left of 2007 Wiveca and Jan would like to wish you all a Happy 2008.

We have been here now for almost 8 years and some of us has met thanks to this web site.
Some of the pictures here are from our "meetings".

We hope that all of you may stay healthy and and if we are lucky we will get together
in 2008 and there will be some new pictures of us here.

It's through meetings between people we learn and grow, lets meet soon.

Ängelholm 1 May 2006

You can never rewind your life, but if you are lucky you get a second chance.
Take care of the day today.

Look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life.
In it's brief course lie all

The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth,
The splendor of action,
The glory of power.

For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision,

But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream
of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day.

Ängelholm 7 January 2005

An other year has passed away and the tragedy in Asian the last week of 2004 will affect our lives in the future. We have learned a new word, tsunami. The nature has remind us how powerful it can be. Something positive when things like this happen is that you realize how much you have to be thankful for. You shouldn't take everything for granted and maybe stop for a while everyday and think of how much there is to be thankful for.

For the Ebbeson family in Ängelholm year 2004 was the year when Karolin began at a new school in Helsingborg, it was the year when Johan graduated and decided to take a break in his studies and today he works at McDonald's, it was the year when Peter finished his studies in Skövde, moved back to Ängelholm over the summer and then moved to Kalix to continue his studies at a journalist school.

It was also the year when Wiveca and Jan went on vacation all alone for the first time for many years. We saw a lot of interesting places in Europe by car, mostly in Italy. The year also brought new long distance visitors to Ängelholm. Todd and Christa celebrated a rainy Midsummer with us and in August we got a visit from Barbara and Ed.

What will happen 2005 is still unwritten and unplanned but if we are lucky maybe we get a chance to see each other.

Ängelholm 3 January 2004

Time rush when you have fun and are in good company and all of a sudden we have new year. Our website is growing, mostly with new pictures. But also the family tree is growing and we have now 1731 individuals in the tree and I still have some material in my drawers to put in. Sometimes new friends and most unexpected relatives finds us through the website. It' such great fun.

The highlights of year 2003 are very much results of contacts through Internet. My trip to Washington and the celebrations of Carl Anderson's 90 birthday was possible thanks to the fact that we found each other via email. I was welcomed with open arms and warm hearts by Carl and his family. Here I met new friends and relatives and we can keep the contact alive through my website and by emails.

For almost two weeks last summer we had the great pleasure to have Stephanie and David as our guests in Ängelholm. We met up with a lot of Ebbesson relatives and had so much fun together. We met for the first time during our trip to USA in 2000. Since then we have been in touch, yes, via email.

Wiveca has taken up the the contact with some of her relatives in Västergötland, a province in Sweden. Some by ordinary mail but also via Internet.

So keep on visit us here in cyberspace and remember you are always welcome to visit us in real life too.

Ängelholm 27 December 2002

A few days before the year 2002 is over our homepage has got a little different layout.
We have also got a new internet address, www.ebbesson.net, it can't be much better than this and we will try to stay here for long.
Christmas is over and this was the first Christmas without my father, Erik Ebbesson, but he has been in our thoughts very often. What I remember most from 2002 is of course the loss of my father.
Except from that year 2002 became very much like 2003 for us. Peter is still studying in Skövde and our summer holiday was very much like the year before. We went along with Engelholm Marching Band to Italy. Then we once more visited Todd and Christa in Zagreb after that it became different. We went to Bosnia-Hercegovina to visit Sarajevo and Mostar. After that we went all the way down to Dubrovnik before we went back up north. We had a lot of wonderful memories and photos with us back home and some of them you may see here on our homepage.
I am very happy for the response I get from this homepage. Now and then I get emails from new friends that have found us on Internet.

I hope all of you get a peaceful and joyful year 2003.

"Strangers is just friends you don't know" (I have borrowed this from Peter's homepage)

Ängelholm 20 January 2002.

An other year has passed away. A year with some very dramatic incidents in the world.
Anyway life goes on and in Ängelholm the Ebbesson family now is one fewer in the household since Peter has moved to Skövde for his studies. It feels a bit strange to have one empty room in the house but sometimes the son is back home and everything is as usual for a weekend.
The past summer we went for a musical trip to Italy together with Engelholm Marching Band. A fantastic combination of sun, swimming, music and wonderful young people.
From Italy we went to Christa and Todd in Zagreb. We saw a new country and I realized that Balkan isn't that far away as I had believed. For my own the trip to China in the beginning of the year was an extraordinary experience.
On the web page the family tree has grown.
I hope our home here on Internet will continue to be a place where it's possible to connect new branches from our big families.
I hope year 2002 will be an interesting year with a lot of meetings between new and old friends.
Maybe you and I will meet.

Ängelholm the 21st of January 2001.

We have been here now for a bit more than a year and there have been several updates with both old and new photos. The family tree is growing all the time. What we remember most from year 2000 is of course our trip to USA. All the memories we collected there will be alive for a long long time.

We have to see what will happen in year 2001. I hope it will be a lot of exciting memorable things. If you keep on visiting our homepage you will see some of it. Maybe it's time for a reunion of Bror Jönsson's family?

Now we have got our own place in cyberspace, our place on Internet. We have been here since the 16th of January 2000 and with this English version since the 7th of February 2000.

Why?

That's a good question. You just want be there, have your own little territory. This place have been reserved a very long time but without any contents.

For a long time we have been watching our sons doing what we haven't been able to - making their own homepages and they are much better on that than we are. To be honest, this homepage has been made with some help from the HTML expert of the family, Johan.

Enjoy yourself.
